Where is Angie Dickinson today? All about her retirement

Angie Dickinson was one of the stars of film and television in the last half of the 20th century. Dickinson appeared in several shows before her breakthrough role in 1959’s Rio Bravo, which won her the Golden Globe Award for New Star of the Year.
The actress’ fame extended to her private life, as rumors suggested she had romantic affiliations with actors and politicians. Dickinson was famously linked with John F. Kennedy, whom she supported in 1960. She denied the rumored affair or refused to address the matter.

Angie Dickinson, 91, lives alone in her Beverly Hills home. The secretive retired actor was last spotted in public by The Daily Mail in early October 2021. It was the first time she’d been photographed in public in over 3.5 years.
Dickinson has lived alone since the death of her daughter, Nikki Bacharach, in January 2007. The actress and her ex-husband, Burt Bacharach, welcomed Nikki in 1966. She was born premature and had Asperger syndrome, a neurodevelopmental disorder.
“She [Nikki] had no coping skills, so she just took her life,” Dickinson told CBS Sunday Morning. “She was very smart and funny and wonderful, so all the memories of her are my best memories.”
Dickinson retired from acting in 2009, playing her last role in the Hallmark film Mending Fences. “I am not looking for work, I don’t really care,” Dickinson said on Pioneers of Television. “I’ve had my day in the sun, and I am very content.”
As the first woman to play a starring role in a drama, Dickinson left an indelible mark on the industry. She told NJ.com that she enjoyed her life and career:
“I was lucky. I came along at the right time for so many great things. I met some great stars and stayed friends with many and lovers with some. It was a fantastic life, really. And it still is.”
