Anthony Padilla’s return to Smosh has excited fans who were sad to see him leave the channel he and Ian Hecox created and popularized. “Huge respect to Ian, Rhett & Link, and all the extremely talented cast and crew that have kept Smosh alive through all the ups and downs Smosh has faced,” Padilla tweeted. “You’ve kept Smosh thriving in a way I was too hurt to do myself these past six years.”

Anthony Padilla is 25% Filipino and 75% Caucasian

Anthony Padilla was born in the Carmichael suburb of Sacramento, California, to a half-Filipino, half-Caucasian father and a Caucasian mother. Padilla’s paternal grandmother is Filipino. It makes Padilla 25% Filipino and 75% Caucasian.

“My mom & dad before I was born,” Padilla wrote alongside a throwback Instagram photo of his parents in January 2013. “Now you can see where I get my looks.”

Padilla’s parents separated when he was a toddler. The YouTuber said the separation didn’t affect him, as he was too young to comprehend what was happening.
