Bobby Flay and Giada’s relationship – All the dating and infidelity rumors

Bobby Flay and Giada De Laurentiis are a prominent chef duo on Food Network with numerous cooking collaborations under their belt. Their longtime friendship and frequent appearances together have been a common subject of gossip among fans of the network. The dating rumors reached their peak in 2015 when both of them coincidentally divorced their partners at the same time.

It did not help that Flay’s then-wife Stephanie March accused him of infidelity and the press dragged De Laurentiis’ name in the messy divorce, speculating that both had cheated on their spouses to be together. While conjectures about their relationship simmered over the years, they resurfaced recently when the pair collaborated on yet another food show Bobby and Giada in Italy in 2021.

Both Bobby and Giada’s individual representatives firmly denied the dating and cheating rumors, calling them ‘untrue’

In the spring of 2015, when Bobby Flay and Giada De Laurentiis were both in the midst of their respective divorce proceedings, reports emerged that they had elevated their friendship to a relationship.

Tabloids published that the pair were keeping each other company and spending time together despite their booked work schedule. They were allegedly spotted having a ‘romantic dinner’ at the popular Italian restaurant Emilio’s Ballato in New York sometime in May 2015.

“They were holding hands under their table and looked very cozy. They even carved their initials in a secret place on the wall,” an anonymous source said.

However, De Laurentiis’ representative immediately denied the ‘untrue’ reports and set the record straight, saying that the chefs dined separately and only happened to cross paths at the restaurant. This was confirmed by Flay’s agent as well, who countered the cheating accusations made by his wife.

De Laurentiis’ representative also corrected the date of the dinner and informed the news outlets that it took place in December 2014 and not in May 2015.

“Back in December, Giada had dinner at Emilio’s Bellato with her agent. Bobby Flay was also having dinner with some friends and dropped by Giada’s table to say ‘Hi’. They did not have dinner, nor was there any touching going on,” said De Laurentiis’ representative.

Moreover, De Laurentiis dismissed the cheating and dating allegations with Flay. She acknowledged their longtime friendship as coworkers and refuted any existence of a romantic relationship, describing Flay as nothing more than a loyal friend.

Giada is in a long-term relationship with Shane Farley while Bobby has been dating Christina Pérez since 2021

After Giada De Laurentiis’ 2014 separation from her husband Todd Thompson and their subsequent divorce in 2015, she began a romantic relationship with television producer Shane Farley. The pair have been dating since November 2015.

“Shane’s a lot of fun. He’s very spontaneous and loves to laugh. It’s one of my favorite things about our relationship,” said De Laurentiis in a 2018 interview.

Bobby Flay, on the other hand, went on to date actress Heléne Yorke for three years from 2016 to 2019, just one year after his divorce from Stephanie March. In 2021, he met and became involved with freelance writer Christina Pérez.

Within a few months of dating, the couple went public in November 2021 at the Breeders’ Cup World Championship in Del Mar, California. Since then, they have been affectionate on Pérez’s Instagram and Flay has gushed about her in interviews.

“She’s so lovely. I’m really happy to have met her. My life is so crazy hectic, and she’s always the light at the end of the day for me… She’s teaching me to cook with a lot less meat. And now all of a sudden, I’m a big hiker. I’m learning a little of the Zen California way,” he said.
