Is Ebraheem Al Samadi gay? All about the Dubai Bling star’s sexuality

Netflix has recaptured the formula for successful reality television shows and it is all about the ultra-rich lifestyle combined with a little drama. Dubai Bling is its latest venture that portrays the novel high society of Dubai where “private jets, lavish parties, stunning skylines, and jaw-dropping fashion are the norm”.

Since its release on October 27, 2022, the reality show’s ten “self-made” Arab millionaires have caught the curiosity of the viewers, and 34-year-old businessman Ebraheem Al Samadi is one of them. His personal life has been the subject of speculation after he let it be known that he had been looking for a partner to settle down with before coming on the show.

Al Samadi’s behavior on Dubai Bling was described by some viewers as an embodiment of the “messy gay stereotype”

The eight-episode show features a diverse cast who comes from an array of Middle East countries including the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait.

Among a rich cast comprising of socialites, celebrities, real estate magnates, vloggers, and influencers, Ebraheem Al Samadi is an established entrepreneur who has been in the business since his teens. He started his first online retailing business on eBay when he was fourteen years old and ended up making his first million before he turned eighteen.

Today, he is the founder and CEO of the Al Samadi Group which owns nine multinational companies, notably the upscale floral boutique Forever Rose and its subsidiary cafe chain, and perfume brand. The Kuwaiti-American also owns prominent restaurant chains such as The Chickery and My Imenso.

During his appearance on Dubai Bling, Al Samadi received polarizing appraisals from viewers. Some perceived him to be a poised and gifted capitalist who is devoted to caring for his mother while others did not view him so kindly.

Moreover, due to his flamboyant mannerisms and style, social media discussions about the show mostly veered toward his sexuality as some described him as the embodiment of the “messy gay stereotype”. The conjectures gained traction after a Twitter user (in what would become a viral statement) wrote:

“Ebraheem Al Samadi is the messiest ever. What’s the reason for him to be involved in all this drama? He’s really taking the gay stereotype of gays being messy to a new level.”

Another commenter also claimed that he was “holding his sexuality in” but a majority of these opinions are mere speculations and have never been confirmed by Al Samadi.

On the show, Al Samadi implied that he was looking for a potential partner and he even went on a blind date with fellow cast member and socialite Loujain “LJ” Adada as a part of the show’s program. However, the date did not go as smoothly as expected due to personal differences and incompatibility.

Also, Al Samadi is notoriously private and does not talk about his personal life in interviews and public appearances. Nonetheless, his Instagram account gives a little insight into his social circle. One particular post made on February 23, 2022, shows him sitting next to a woman at an outdoor café. The comments were turned off and his caption was a simple yellow heart emoji.

Although the post was made months before Dubai Bling was filmed, it remains unclear whether the woman in question was a friend or a partner. Furthermore, she has not appeared on his Instagram since then and does not seem to be a public figure.
