Stephen Huszar is not married. However, he is in a serious relationship with co-star Katie Cassidy, who was married to Matthew Rodgers from December 2018 to January 2020.
Cassidy told People that she used the lockdown period to heal. “I think if I’m supposed to meet someone, I’ll meet them naturally, organically,” Cassidy said. “I think people should just be happy, and so I encourage everyone – men, women – there’s a lot of people who are stuck in relationships when they’re not happy because they don’t like the idea or look of what divorce is.”
The actor said she felt a natural and instant connection to Stephen when the pair met on set in March 2023. Cassidy stated that the couple’s mutual love for crystals strengthened their bond. “I’m very drawn to [crystals],” Cassidy told US Weekly. “I was like, ‘Wait a second. What do you know about these and why do you have these? There’s something happening here.’”
“I remember there’s this one scene in the barn where I literally am looking at him, and that was the moment for me. I’m not kidding you. I’m, like, leaning on the table and he’s saying his lines and I just like, I think I like almost fell over,” the American actress said. Despite their attraction, the pair kept things professional, Cassidy added. “We could let our guard down when our characters were supposed to and allow space to fall into one another.”
Stephen and Katie said that during their brief friendship, they learned they had plenty in common. He told Entertainment Tonight: “It’s just getting to know someone and seeing that, well, there is a lot of commonality there and there’s a lot of respect there. In many ways, not just our art form but other things in our lives. So that made it very interesting and different.”
A source speaking to People described Stephen and Cassidy as ‘very much in love’ and stated that they had spent time with Cassidy’s family in Portugal. The pair’s relationship is still in its early stages, but we wouldn’t be surprised if the couple got married.
