Max Christie’s parents: His mom scored over 1,000 points for Northwestern

Max Christie didn’t start the season well: his shooting was way off its best, and the rising star seemed short on confidence. Christie’s coach, Tom Izzo, never doubted the boy’s talent; all he had to do was help him regain confidence. In early 2022, Christie demonstrated his boundless talent by scoring a career-high 21 points against Nebraska.
Christie’s Michigan State produced an excellent all-round performance, but Max was undoubtedly the star of the show. Every time he shaped to shoot, everyone in the arena expected him to score – and Max delivered.
After the career-high performance, Max posed with his father, mother, and younger brother for the cameras. He posted the photos on Instagram alongside the following caption: “My Backbone.”
Christie’s mom scored over 1000 points for Northwestern’s basketball team

Max Christie was born on 10th January 2003 to Katrina and Max Christie Sr., in Arlington Heights, Illinois. He grew up alongside his younger brother, Cameron.
Christie and his brother seem to have inherited their basketball playing skills from their parents.
Max Sr. was a basketball player at Parklands College and the University of Wisconsin-Superior. After college, he became an airline pilot.
Katrina was a star basketball player for Northwestern, scoring over 1000 points. However, she didn’t pursue a basketball career: she became a psychologist after college.
