Is Surfer Boy Pizza real? How to get the pizza in real life

Surfer Boy Pizza

Stranger Things season 4 introduced us to Jonathan’s new bestie, Argyle. Season 4’s undisputed scene-stealer was dragged into Hawkins’ supernatural world and showed remarkable grace when dealing with this terrifying reality. Argyle endeared himself to fans through his hilarious reactions and quips.

Before his world turned upside down, Argyle worked as a delivery boy for the pizza chain Surfer Boy Pizza. Argyle and his yellow delivery van would prove crucial at some point in the series – and not for delivering pizza.

Given the popularity of Stranger Things and the likelihood we won’t get another season until 2024, people have been looking for things to remind them of that blockbuster season 4 – one of them being Surfer Boy Pizza.

The pizza comes in Surfer Boy’s red-and-white packaging and features a photo of a Stranger Things character. One pizza costs $7 at Walmart, and the variety pack with all flavors costs $50. The pizza box features the following message:

“Go on a totally rad flavor adventure that will make it feel like your slices were delivered hot to your door. The thick crust is crispy on the outside and airy on the inside – you’ll think it was hand-tossed by the Surfer Boy Pizza dudes themselves. Throw a pie in the oven and buckle up your taste buds, brochachos!”

According to Scary Mommy, people have enjoyed the offerings by Palermo’s. One reviewer gave an overwhelmingly positive review, writing:

“Wasn’t expecting much, but this pizza was amazing! Hope it sticks around and isn’t a limited time thing because it’s the best frozen pizza I’ve ever had. The crust was flaky and crispy and the sauce was great. The veggies tasted fresh, like, it was all great! Got the meat lovers to try with my fiance this weekend. Can’t wait! 100/10.”

Calling the Surfer Boys Pizza number draws an automated response from Argyle

If you fancy hearing Argyle’s voice in your ear, you can call the number on his van. Dial 805-45-PIZZA and get the following automated response:

“Surfer Boy Pizza, this is Argyle speaking. We make everything fresh here at Surfer Boy, except for our pineapple which comes from a can, but I still recommend slapping some juicy pineapple on. Oh, fruit on your pizza is gnarly you say? Well I say try before you deny!”
